AI USAGE POLICY
The Boman.ai is offered by SUMERU SOFTWARE SOLUTIONS PRIVATE LIMITED (hereinafter referred to as “Company,” “Sumeru,” “we,” “our,” or “us”), a company incorporated under the Companies Act, 1956, with its registered office located at No. 82/2, H&G Shankaraa, Kanakapura Main Road, Doddakallasandra, Bangalore, Bangalore South, Karnataka, India, 560062.
We are committed to protecting your (“You” or “User”) privacy and ensuring a safe user experience. At the same time, we want you to feel confident and empowered while using the features of Boman.ai .
This Artificial Intelligence Usage Policy ("Policy") describes how Boman.ai integrates and utilizes AI technologies responsibly, and how you, as a user, can remain in control of your experience.
Boman.ai incorporates AI functionalities powered by various third-party providers—including, but not limited to, ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini—to enhance software performance and improve user productivity.
This Policy outlines the purpose, scope, data handling practices, user rights, and limitations related to AI usage within the Boman.ai platform ("Platform").
By using or accessing AI-powered features on the Platform, you agree to the terms outlined in this Policy. If you do not agree with these terms, please avoid using the AI-related functionalities offered by the Platform.
Boman.ai integrates Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies to enhance the functionality, security, and overall user experience of the Platform. Specifically, AI is used to:
- Assist users in identifying and remediating software code vulnerabilities.
- Provide generalized recommendations on security best practices.
- Deliver specific, context-aware code fix guidance, subject to the user’s explicit consent.
- To use your information to compute the charges for the application you purchase.
- Analyze user-submitted code snippets to generate tailored solutions.
- Improve user productivity through targeted, AI-driven recommendations.
This Policy applies to all users who engage with AI-powered features available on the Platform. These AI features are designed with safety and responsibility in mind and do not provide or promote any content that is harmful, offensive, or unlawful.
Explicit Consent Required:
No user data, including but not limited to code snippets or related information, shall be transferred from Boman AI to any third-party AI providers without the user’s express prior consent.
Such consent must be obtained before any analysis of user-submitted content is performed by AI systems.
Custom API Keys:
Users may choose to configure and use their own personal API keys to access third-party AI services. In such cases, Boman.ai assumes no responsibility or liability for the security, billing, usage, or any actions performed using these API keys.
All requests made under these circumstances are transmitted directly through the user’s account and are subject to the terms, conditions, and billing policies of the respective third-party provider.
Users are solely responsible for the use and management of their personal API keys.
Data Handling:
Boman.ai's committed to processing user data securely and exclusively for the purpose of fulfilling the immediate AI service request. No user data is stored in Boman.ai.
Third-Party AI Providers:
AI service providers engaged by Boman.ai , including OpenAI, comply with stringent data protection standards and do not retain User-submitted data post-processing in accordance with their respective privacy policies (e.g., OpenAI Enterprise Privacy, https://www.anthropic.com/legal/privacy, https://www.gemini.com/legal/privacy-policy ).
Confidentiality:
User-submitted code and associated data are treated as confidential and protected using industry-standard encryption and security protocols. Boman.ai undertakes reasonable measures to prevent unauthorized access or disclosure.
Advisory Nature of AI Outputs:
All AI-generated content, including security and code remediation suggestions, are provided for informational and assistive purposes only. Users acknowledge that such outputs are not infallible and must be independently verified by qualified professionals prior to implementation.
No Warranty:
Boman.ai expressly disclaims all warranties, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of accuracy, completeness, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement related to AI outputs.
Limitation of Liability:
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Boman.ai shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the use or inability to use AI functionalities, including errors in AI-generated recommendations or security breaches resulting therefrom.
User Responsibility:
Users bear sole responsibility for ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations governing the submission of data to AI services, including but not limited to data privacy, intellectual property, and export controls. Sensitive, proprietary, or regulated data should not be submitted unless expressly authorized.
If a User uploads or submits any report or data generated by Boman.ai to any third-party AI platform or service, Boman.ai disclaims all liability for any resulting data breaches, unauthorized disclosures, losses, or misuse of such information. The User acknowledges and agrees that they are solely responsible for ensuring the security and confidentiality of their data when interacting with external AI services.
Boman.ai reserves the right to modify this Policy at its sole discretion to reflect changes in legal requirements, technological advancements, or business operations. Significant updates will be communicated via email or platform notifications. The Continued use of AI features after such notification constitutes acceptance of the amended Policy.
This Policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
For Users or Legal Entities Located Within India:
Any dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or in connection with this Policy, including its existence, validity, interpretation, performance, breach, or termination, shall be resolved by arbitration in accordance with the provisions of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 (as amended from time to time). The arbitration shall be conducted by a sole arbitrator, mutually appointed by the parties. If the parties fail to agree on the appointment within thirty (30) days, the arbitrator shall be appointed in accordance with the said Act.
The seat and venue of arbitration shall be Bangalore, Karnataka, India.
The language of the arbitration shall be English.
The substantive law governing the proceedings shall be the laws of India.
For Users or Legal Entities Located Outside India:
Any dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or in connection with this Policy shall be finally resolved by arbitration administered by the International Commercial Arbitration Court (ICAC) under the European Arbitration Chamber (Avenue Louise 146, Brussels, Belgium), in accordance with the ICAC Rules, which are deemed to be incorporated by reference into this clause.
The arbitration shall be conducted by a sole arbitrator appointed in accordance with the ICAC Rules.
The seat (legal place) of arbitration shall be Bangalore, India. The language of the arbitration shall be English.
The arbitral award shall be final and binding on the parties and enforceable in accordance with applicable law.
